The star’s son took to Instagram on Wednesday (January 22) to share the heartbreaking news with Ban’s fans, revealing that his beloved mom passed after undergoing emergency brain surgery.

The heartbreaking news was later confirmed to the New York Post, with sources informing the outlet that “Ban husband discovered her dead in a bed about 1:30PM” on Monday (January 20).

“My mum passed away on Monday,” Sebastian wrote. “I know she wanted to share her journey after her accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would appreciate one last post sharing the news to people who supported her.”

The grieving son referred to Lynn as “the best mother” and “someone who cared for all”.

“Many of you followed my mum but never got the chance to know her or meet her in person. I would like to take the chance to share who my mum really was,” he said. “She always had a smile on her face even when times were tough during her recovery process. She was a fighter until the end and is the strongest woman I know.”

“She was the funniest and coolest mum I could ever ask for. She took care of me, my dad, and our Entire family throughout her whole life,” he continued, adding that he will “make sure” his mother “is never forgotten” following her sudden death.

Sebastian concluded his emotional post with a final message to his late mom, writing: “I would just like to say that I will miss you forever and to end [with] something she always told me ‘I love you more than life itself’ mum.”

The late TV star – perhaps best known for starring in Bling Empire: New York – underwent emergency brain surgery after getting into a ski accident on Christmas Eve.

She shared her final Instagram post last month, writing: “At the top of the mountain I caught a tip and face planted. Luckily I always wear a helmet, It didn’t seem that bad at the time and I was able to ski to the bottom.”

Ban revealed that she decided to err on the side of caution and got “checked out by ski patrol for a concussion,” but they cleared her of any issues.

However, after developing a headache soon after, she was rushed to a local hospital, where she was diagnosed with a brain bleed and immediately airlifted to a trauma center.

“Last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniotomy with Jett by my side,” she added.

Ban was found in her Tribeca home on Monday at approximately 1:30PM by her husband, Jett Kain, per Page Six.
