Drew Binsky, an Arizona native, has achieved an incredible travel feat: visiting every country in the world, according to his website.

The vlogger quit his teaching job in 2015, and embarked on an adventure, documenting his travel experiences on his popular YouTube channel, which boasts a staggering 5 million subscribers.

Now that Binsky has visited all 197 countries in the world, he feels confident in sharing that the Philippines is ranked number one on his list.

The 33-year-old revealed in a video shared last year that the Southeast Asian nation, which has breathtaking beaches and beautiful nature, stole his “heart”.

Binsky visited the country 75 times and even got married there, got tattoos from a 107-year-old artist, spearfished with a tribal artist in the ocean, and tried some of the most “underrated” and bizarre dishes such as a cow’s penis.

“Every single experience in the Philippines is incredible,” he said. “It’s not only about the jaw-dropping nature, wildlife, and scenery. It’s really about the people.”

Binsky said: “The moment you’ve stepped foot in the land of 7,641 islands you are welcomed like family.

“It’s never been easier to make a new friend as Filipinos will always greet you with a smile,” he added.

The YouTuber also posted a travel guide about the capital city Manila on his website, stating that it is “one of the best cities out there”.

He said there’s no language barrier as English “is actually considered a national language in the Philippines”.

“In fact, the Philippines is the fourth largest English-speaking country in the world,” he penned. “Everyone I came across was conversational at worst, and most people are fluent English speakers. This makes travel so much easier!”

Unfortunately, not all of Binsky’s travel experiences have been without challenges, as he revealed that Conakry, the capital of Guinea is “one of the worst” countries he has been to “by far”.

In a video titled “Ranking the top 20 best and worst cities on earth,” the YouTuber explained: “The entire city smelt like trash. It was like sewage everywhere and like, I have a high tolerance for dirty places and I’ve seen a lot of things around the world… but Conakry was noticeably the worst.

“People there were not very friendly at all. In fact, I tried to sit down at a restaurant and then some dude kicked me out for reasons that I don’t know why,” he claimed, adding that the city felt like “one of the most unsafe”.

Despite the overall atmosphere, Binsky did experience a positive moment with a visit to a local mosque.

“Other than that, I found nothing going on in the capital of Guinea,” he added. “And it’s probably a place that I will never visit again,” he concluded in his review.
